My university received guidance that TAs who offer in-person instruction are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as part of Pennsylvania’s phase 1B, about two weeks before general availability in the state. So I managed to snag an appointment at a Walgreens in Pittsburgh’s Waterfront neighborhood and got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine!
From a cycling standpoint, this is probably the first trip longer than 3 miles that I’ve taken on the old bike (the Trek hybrid) since getting a road bike (the Felt VR). It certainly doesn’t feel as fast or as fun as the road bike, and admittedly I don’t maintain it as well, but it gets the job done.
I guess there’s also the way back, which bumps the total mileage for this trip to about 15 miles.
